Orb of Light is a deceptively simple yet visually captivating example of minimalist abstract photography. Captured near my kitchen window, this image reveals the ethereal beauty of everyday objects. In this case, the soft reflection of the window blinds transforms the glass sphere handle of a glass cake cover. The interplay of light and shadow creates an illusion of depth and dimensionality, giving the sphere an otherworldly glow that feels minimal and intricately layered. While it may initially appear completely monochromatic, the final image was crafted over several weeks with subtle blending of blues, grays, and blacks, proving that monochrome-like compositions can still carry a rich emotional palette.
